is as gratifying and unique as each of their stories below. thanks.

A friend of ours that lives in New York City recommended that we check out Little King as we were looking to purchase an engagement ring and our wedding bands. We live in Hawaii and were going to NYC for a short vacation. Before we left on vacationwe checked out the Little King website and loved what we saw. Stacy and I didn't think we could afford to purchase handcrafted one of a kind wedding rings, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that we could get all we wanted and more when visiting Little King. Jennifer and Michael were friendly and informative, fun and funny; they made us feel very welcome and were totally open to working within our budget. We discussed the types of rings that we wanted and they designed us the most beautiful rings!! Corresponding via email and telephone we finalized our rings and in about a month they arrived via FedEx. They were more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, the craftsmanship was remarkable, the diamond they selected for the engagement ring was incredible and I am very happy to say that the rings were the only thing about our wedding that came in as budgeted (actually even a little below budget).
Thank you Jennifer and Michael for making this experience so fun for us. We would highlyrecommend Little King to anyone that wants a truly special piece of jewelry and a down to earth, fun and educational experience selecting it.

I had searched far and wide for someone to make a set of monkey face cufflinks for my fiancé to wear at our wedding. I was about ready to give up when it was recommended that I try Little King Ltd. When I walked in I was prepared for disappointment, as I was sure this would be one of the most bizarre requests that they had heard, but Michael said it would be "no problem" and he'd have a mold ready in a week. Needless to say, the cufflinks were perfect and the whole process was so enjoyable that I wanted my fiancé to meet them. Well, he and Michael hit it off and the next thing I know we're having Michael & Jennifer make us custom wedding bands, bride & groom gifts, birthday presents. you get the picture.
We wanted our wedding to have an "old school New York" feel and we wanted to use local vendors. Being able to find a neighborhood shop, an artist that caters to the needs of the customer, was perfect. My husband still stops in to hang out! Working with Little King was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience in our wedding planning. Great jewelry, great atmosphere, and great friends!

We have been going to the Little King for our jewelry needs for over 6 years, and they have made us countless, expertly crafted pieces. An East Village institution, their unique designs are truly inspired. Michael and Jennifer welcome customers as if they were all family, jokes and all, and listen to ideas with interest knowing exactly what questions to ask in order to design that one-of-a-kind piece.
When we were planning our wedding, we came to Michael and Jennifer with an idea for cufflinks based on a quotation "We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly embracing each other". They designed a perfect pair of angel wing cufflinks for us - each had only one wing, so when we stand together, or hold hands, the wings are together.
Without a doubt, we will continue to be loyal customers in the years to come. We encourage all our friends to visit their store to see for themselves the jewelry we are constantly raving about.

From the beginning when we talked about rings we knew we wanted a design that was unique and personal to out styles. We both love bold, unique, jewelry, and prefer the handmade to the mass produced - but have very different personal styles. Nicole tends towards bold stones and minimalism, Steward tends towards the more ornate.
We started by looking in boutiques and researching jeweler's websites. There were many decent designs but they all were either boring or tacky. After seeing an ad in a NYC publication, Nicole went to the Little King website and thought, "This is the place". She was impressed with the range of work that Little King does, and was particularly charmed by the crown rings. She showed the site to Stew, who was quickly taken by them as well.
We decided to stop in and see what it would take for custom crown wedding bands and an engagement ring. The designer Michael was really excited to do it. He spent an hour just getting to know us, asking us about our lives, our love, our families, what jewelry meant to us, our professions. With all that information and a loose sketch he designed a set of rings that fit our personalities and desires. The entire process was fun and exciting. We always looked forward to stopping in, talking to Michael and Jennifer and seeing the progress on the rings. Never once did we worry about price. Little King worked with us to fit our budget and create a beautiful representation of our marriage.
Great designs. Great people. A great experience. We couldn't have wished for better, and we are already discussing other jewelry we would like to have made in the future, for significant birthdays and anniversaries. We look forward to a long and happy relationship, not only with each other, but with Little King as well!

Stefanie is not a big jewelry person, so I was worried about getting her just the right ring. However, Michael and Jennifer at LIttle King were fantastic. They helped me take one of their existing designs and modify it in a way I knew Stefanie would love. They were also great when it came to helping me pick a diamond that fit the ring perfectly, and that was in my budget.
When I gave the ring to Stefanie, she was blown away, and every time someone sees the ring, they have the same reaction. It feels both modern and vintage, a completely unique work of art!
We also purchased our wedding bands and other pieces at Little King; each visit to Michael and Jennifer is like seeing old friends who are always happy to see you.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

Dear Michael & Jennifer
(and the rest of the Little King crew!),
We just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for the beautiful wedding rings that you made for us. Everyone who sees them just gushes over how wonderful they are. It was important for us to contribute to the design process, but we were so thankful for your insight, talent, and expertise. It was so exciting to watch the rings evolve from sketch to wax to finished product! You made the whole process so enjoyable, comfortable and easy. Thank you for adding such a meaningful treasure to our lives.
Warmest regards,
Josh & Amy Boelter

We were nervous when we first started shopping for engagement and wedding rings because we were on a very limited budget, wanted very different rings, and didn't want diamonds in any of them. Jennifer and Michael respected our desires and worked with us to create beautiful, nontraditional rings that also fit our budget. We love their work (and their service) so much that Little King is now our first stop whenever we want to buy new jewelry.
Thanks, you guys!

"Little King is the only jewelry shop on the planet where you can walk through the door and actually feel at home. From my first question about engagement rings, to the final stages of our wedding bands, every step of the process was taken carefully and creatively. Together, we designed the perfect symbol of unity, love, and truth to wear on our fingers forever, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the result!!"

On Saturday, March 17th I set out to march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade with my sister and my boyfriend Patrick as part of the NYC Parks Department Emerald Society. It was freezing cold and a few days after a snowstorm. I wasn't sure I wanted to march, but both my sister and boyfriend left me no choice - I was doing it. Little did I know why.
We set out down Fifth Avenue, Patrick leading the group and my sister and I all the way in the back. It was cold but everyone seemed in unusually good spirits. We waved to my mom and his father and brother and continued up towards 88th Street & Fifth Avenue. We finally stopped and all I wanted was to sit and take a break, but my sister dragged me by the hand and said that I was needed up front. I got up there and Patrick was kneeling in the center of the IBEW Pipe & Drum Corp. I immediately started to cry as he asked me to marry him. He slipped the ring on my finger and the crowds of people on Fifth Avenue began to clap and cheer.
As I looked at the ring, I was blown away by how absolutely breathtakingly beautiful it was. The detail, the color and the setting were just the most gorgeous things I had ever seen. If I was put in a room with a thousand rings, this is the exact one I would have picked out. It truly was the ring of my dreams, given to me in the most perfect place by the man of my dreams.
From that moment on I have heard nothing but how original, how beautiful, how special my ring is. I feel as though it was made to sit on my finger, which it was. No one in the world has a ring like this and it is as special to me as the man who gave it to me. When I heard about the place it was created, I was so grateful for how much time and effort must have been placed on creating this exquisite piece of jewelry. I always knew that I wanted a different sort of engagement ring, but something this spectacular was beyond my wildest dreams. I cannot express what it means to me, and now that the shock has worn off a bit I only stare at it for a few hours a day. For the first 2 weeks I did nothing but stare at it, each time discovering new and beautiful aspects I hadn¹t noticed before.
It truly is an heirloom, the most wonderful piece of jewelry I have ever owned. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my engagement truly perfect.

Little King and I designed an engagement ring for my fiance that was created within my price-range and yet, more meaningful and special then any ring I could of picked from any display case. We used my future mother-in-law's diamond from a ring her father given her for her 21st birthday and a sapphire from my mother's engagement ring. Another sapphire was cut to match my mother's and all three are set in a white gold setting that I designed with the help of Little Kings' Michael and Jennifer.
As soon as I decided I wanted to propose to my girlfriend of 8 years, I did a Google search for "engagement rings." I knew Tiffany's and that's about it and the whole idea of picking one ring for this monumental occasion was frightening to say the least. I luckily found a New York Magazine feature on weddings and the best jewelry stores in New York to find engagement rings. From all the websites I checked out, they all of the rings looked the same: huge and out of my price range. I narrowed the list down to one store, Little King, because it was the only place that seemed to be the least like the others.
The first time I visited the store, Jennifer and Michael put me at ease with their kindness and interest in helping me out with this daunting task. They assured me that we could design a one of a kind ring and work within my price range. I was relieved that once my modest price range was acknowledged, they were still just as excited to help me create the ring.
I had thought of using heirloom jewels in the ring but I never thought a jeweler would actually let me do that. When Jennifer brought it up as an option I was really happy because I knew that it would make the ring so much more meaningful to my future wife. I was sent home with the assignment of getting some stones to choose from and to start designing the setting. I brought back an array of stones and I didn't have a clue which ones were even real and what I would do with them. Jennifer made that easy and after we had that settled, Michael helped refine a sketch I had made of the setting.
In only 3 weeks from the day I first visited the store to the night before I was to fly down to my family reunion where I proposed (no I didn't propose in front of everyone and yes, she said yes) I had gone from not having a clue to having a custom engagement ring that floored my fiancé and has impressed everyone who has seen it since. I am very lucky to have found Little King and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants the perfect engagement ring despite how much you are willing or able to spend because you'll be creating a completely unique piece of jewelry that you'll be proud to pass on to your grandkids.
